 Hello, friends!

I’m Danni, also known as danpuff (also danniperson). I’m in my 30s, have basically been part of the Harry Potter fandom my whole life, and Snarry has been my OTP for way too long. Aside from my beloved Snarry, I also really love rare pairs (especially Draco/practically anyone) and femslash. I’m an avid reader, a chaotic writer, and enthusiastic cheerleader!

This fandom means a lot to me and I do my best to contribute to that not only by sharing my own stories, but also by reading a lot and commenting as often as I can! I also like to share the stories I enjoy here on Tumblr as fic recs, to not only give them extra love myself, but hopefully bring them extra love from others, as well!

Please feel free to contact me here or find me on any of the following platforms I run around on. I always love to chat and make new friends!

I'm reading a book at the moment called Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Swartz. I'm enjoying it very much so far...the concept appealed to me right away: a lady in the 1800s wants to become a surgeon, but damned society! Not only is she a woman, and a noblewoman no less, but also society views surgeons as butchers. Not half as prestigious as a physician might be. So Hazel, our main character, manages to get herself into a position of being unsupervised at home, while also buying dead bodies to study. (Dead bodies bought from a "resurrection man" (or body snatcher) named Jack, who is now her love interest.)

In the beginning I had some musings of how Hazel is a nice name for a female Harry. It took ages for me to get on the Harriet Potter bandwagon so I always liked Holly or Hazel as alternatives. There's another minor character in the book named Hyacinth, which...I did in fact write a femslash Snarry where fem!Harry was called Hyacinth. Excellent name, that.

My most recent discovery is Betelgeuse...it's the name of one of the family horses, which of course made me think of Beetlejuice. I don't know that I've seen that name outside of Beeltejuice. But then Hazel mentioned it's the name of a star, which I googled, and that's actually correct! It's the name of a red supergiant in the constellation of Orion.

...which made me think of the Black family. Imagine a Betelgeuse Black, if you will.

I have a notebook at home where I keep lists of names for potential characters, particularly for fanfiction. Lists of surnames, girl names, boy names...even names for pets or shops...and aside from names, concepts! Character sheets. Etcetera. I do hope I'll remember when I get home to add it to my list of names for potential Black family members.

Which reminds me, I know I found another good name to add to the same list in another book, except I can't remember it! I'm pretty sure it must have been the Super Powereds series or the Villains Code series, but alas...I do hope I was smart enough to jot it in my notebook.

I really should go back to carrying that thing in my backpack regularly. You never know when inspiration, or miscellaneous ideas, will strike!

I'm a bit of a name nerd, actually. Back in my younger years I'd pretend I wanted kids just so I could use up some of my most beloved names. Don't worry, common sense hit me before it was too late! I'm very happy with my childfree status and giving cool names to characters instead.

Anyway, in spite of my break, fandom is never far from my mind. My beloved Snarry fandom, at least.

Before starting Anatomy I read the new Empyrean book, Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, then went back through the first two books, Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I thought about an AU set in the Empyrean-verse, where Harry was Violet and Snape was Xaden, except...instead of wingleader, Snape would be his/her teacher. All the more steamy that way, right?

In the Empyrean series, Violet has the power of lightning, which suits Harry, right? What with his lightning bolt scar. And Xaden has power over shadows, which certainly suits Snape. Plus...dragons!

Before that, I read the Villains Code series, and envisioned an AU in that world. Where Harry was the star superhero, and Severus as the big bad member of the Villains Guild. Harry with Lodestar's power is pretty cool, but I especially loved the idea of Severus with Fornax's power...

Oh wait. FORNAX. That's it!!!! Fornax, Ivan's villain's name, is the name of a constellation. Okay definitely keeping that here for future reference, in case I forgot to add Fornax to my Black family list.

Fornax Black. Betelgeuse Black. I'm really going to have to do more with the Black family in the future.

Anyway, prior to Villains Code I also envisioned an AU set in the Super Powereds series while I was reading THAT. In a side book called Corpies there's a character called Birdman and I really had a moment of wanting Harry as Birdman.

Anyway, all that to say that my boys are never far from my mind, and even while not actively writing, my brain still thinks "what if, what if..."

Even outside of my books, my usual true crime videos have put Snarry in my mind! One featured an "ugly" serial killer, where I was reminded of what beauty ideals consist of, primarily "symmetry"...and I had to have a good hard look about just how "ugly" I like Snape to be, when faced with this serial killer.

...you draw a line down the middle of this man's face and I swear the two halves looked like they belonged to different people. They looked like they might not even be related.

This ugly man killed women who didn't give him the type of sex he wanted. Apparently he preferred oral over PIV, which again, made me think of how interesting it is how people can have an array of preferences. Which, is not news to me, but the general population can't quite wrap their heads around anything "different" which just made me feel encouraged to portray more and more of those unique things.

But also it would be strange to point to a serial killer and say "see! Not everyone cares for PIV!" (Much as I do terribly enjoy writing and reading that sort of thing, haha!)

Gosh, even in music I find them. I've been on a Taylor Swift kick lately. Her most recent album was incredible, and it inspired me to go back through her discography. And since I see so much hatred for her, it makes me love her all the more in spite of people. She's a phenomenal songwriter, whether people give her the credit she's due or not, and I'm so in love with her writing.

I listen to her songs and think, I want a Snarry inspired by "All Too Well" (the 10 minute version, to be precise). Or, "Guilty as Sin" would be a sexy song to write to. "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)" stays on my mind.

I've recently listened to Lady Gaga's new singles, and I'm enraptured by "Abracadabra".

"Hold me in your heart tonight
In the magic of the dark moonlight"

I truly have the Snarry brainrot.

It feels a bit counter-intuitive to let myself linger on these thoughts, since I'm supposed to be taking a break, but by the same token...it's nice to just let these thoughts and feelings linger without pushing myself to do something about it.

I miss writing in a strange way. With fond memories, but no urgency. No drive. I don't have it in me to actually get back to anything yet. I hope that day will come.

In the meantime, I need to put my notebook back in my backpack so I can jot down my thoughts as they come.

...

As an aside, I have searched up fics here and there, hunting down specific scenes. It's the strangest thing, I don't know if anyone else does this...but remembering specific feelings and scenes and looking just for those. I've been in the mood for arranges marriages and consummations lately. It's nice that I've read some of these fics enough to know what chapter to jump to or just how far down to scroll!

I really do love fandom. It's a bit easier to remember that now, with distance. It's nice being able to interact with it in my own time and my own way.

I need to spend less time on Reddit. It really can be a cesspool.

It's really tragic when beloved creators turn out to be awful people, and the Neil Gaiman subreddit has been having a TIME of the recent allegations and news stories.

I'm not the biggest Neil Gaiman fan. I've read Coraline and Good Omens. I've watched (and loved) the movies Stardust and Coraline, and the shows Good Omens and Sandman. I've had other of his works on my never-ending to-read list for years.

I may still read them. Between me and my partner we own most of, if not all of, his works.

Really, when it came down to it, I thought JRK would be my only real "can't let it go" author. But even though I'm not half as attached to Gaiman's works as Rowling's...I've loved enough of his works enough to want more.

And really, being a Potterhead in 2025 means I've had plenty of practice being told I'm a bad person for still loving Harry Potter. I can't even bear to really stop supporting her monetarily, because of just what the universe means to me. Universal Studios will always be my #1 pick for vacation destination just to visit the Wizarding World. I still want new, interesting versions of the books I love.

I can justify it better with Rowling. Harry Potter has been a part of my life for my whole life. The books were published in the U.S. in 1998, I believe...I was 6 years old then. I'd always been a bookworm, and yet I'd never devoured books like I did the Harry Potter series.

To this day, they remain the books I've reread the most.

I had a copy of the Sorcerer's Stone so tattered I had to carry it around in two pieces.

The books carried me through awful moments in my life. My father's emotional abuse. My parent's divorce. My father's subsequent decade-long toxic relationship. It got me through the awkwardness of high school, and my early adulthood depression. It was a bright, beautiful, magical world I could escape to when the real world was too gray and dreary and heavy.

More than that, the books introduced me to fandom. And through fandom, I've gained so much.

I remember writing original works between the ages of seven and nine, but fanfiction really pushed my creative side into motion. I truly fell in love with writing when I wrote my first fanfic at the age of thirteen.

Through roleplaying and fanfiction I made friends on the internet, people all over the world. And I credit the internet with taking me away from the small-mindedness of small town Southern life and ideals. Would I be half as open-minded or knowledgeable as I am now without those experiences?

For all that my relationship to fandom is strained and confused right now, it's always been such a big part of my life. I'm thirty-two (I'll be thirty-three in May), and I've been in fandom for over half my life. Even in the times it was less prominent, the tether was always there, holding me to it. I still considered myself part of it, even when I was away.

The Wizarding World has been too big through too much of my life for me to walk away from it. Even when people act as if I'm a villain for it. As if my inability to leave something so important to me makes me a monster.

Perhaps that experience is why I'm so...defensive, I guess, about Gaiman's works. There are people in that community who are lifelong fans. People who don't want to stop loving his work just because he's a piece of shit.

And I've tasted enough of his works to know I'd love them all, or at least a great deal of them.

I've experienced the current vitriol against Gaiman fans myself when it comes to being a Potterhead. And, to be fair, it's all still fresh and new for Gaiman, whereas we've had years of Rowling being a TERF.

I have no love for Neil Gaiman, and no grace. But I do have respect for his work still. I read Coraline in school, maybe in junior high? It's one of the few school-assigned reading I actually enjoyed.

The terrible truth of it is: awful people can create awesome art.

....

That's the trouble as of this morning.

From one (annoying) Redditor:

One aspect is extremely simple, though: and that's that Gaiman isn't a major literary writer (thus an artist, recognised for literary/artistic value) in the first place. The phrase isn't just being used as non-literal, but manipulatively to boost Gaiman's significance/that of his work - it's apparent when such posts are really falling over themselves to praise his work, and listing him alongside actually significant writers and painters who were abusive etc.

This Redditor has been vehement across posts downplaying any defense of his works. And, while annoying, I found this one to be outright offensive.

Do we really only consider things "art" if they're of a certain "value"? And who decides those values?

I (foolishly) responded:

Okay, just because some works of art might have more "value" or "respect" than others doesn't diminish other types of art. Storytelling is still an artform, even if you don't value or respect it. Books can still be art even if they aren't Pride and Prejudice. We don't have to diminish art just because you have a problem with this particular person and their works.

Neil Gaiman is a bad person, and so everything he's ever done must be bad, too. Right?

People hate him so much, and rightfully so, but now everything he's touched is poison instead of gold.

I'll not defend a person like Neil Gaiman, not in the least, not for a thing. But he isn't his works. His works aren't him. Me rereading (or rewatching) Coraline isn't forgiveness of Gaiman. It isn't support, or mercy, or anything but a girl with a book (or movie) she enjoys.

....

Do you know, I actually really liked the Cormoran Strike series Rowling wrote? I forget what book I stopped at. I just know the next book, the one I'd been really excited for, turned out to be one she loudly and proudly displayed her TERF-erism. I couldn't bring myself to read that one, or even reread the other ones. I ended up donating the books I had to an independent bookshop.

Despite my partner's (and others') ravings about Enders's Game, I've not been able to bring myself to read it. For a while, it was because I knew how terrible Orson Scott Card is. Now...now it hangs around on my TBR for one day, maybe. If I have the time or energy for it. If I have the stomach for it.

I bought The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley ages ago. Then I found out how awful she was. I never did get around to reading the book. I still really wanted to, but I felt too guilty to actually open it. Do I still own it, or did I donate it, too? I can't remember now.

....

It's all so individual and personal. I can't imagine begrudging people their enjoyment of music or movies or books or whatever else.

I really like Michael Jackson's music. Did you know that?

The idea of him as a person makes me sick. I'm glad he's dead. But his music? Wow, his music. "Thriller" is forever a good time, especially around Halloween. "The Way You Make Me Feel" is a longtime favorite.

Elvis, too.

You'd have a harder time of prying my favorite music away from me than books, I think. Music is in my soul.

My partner can't watch Mel Gibson movies.

....

Really, I guess people need a target. They need someone to blame. Other, regular people are easier to hit than celebrities. They have to know, deep down, that we're not the enemy. Right?

Of course, I'm a fan of all sorts of morbid, strange, dark, unforgivable things.

Another Reddit post I saw yesterday was a screenshot from the teenagers subreddit, where this teen group shunned their friend for being a "proshipper" and among this person's list of crimes was "watching Saw and other horror films for fun."

I was watching horror films practically out of the womb. I read Flowers in the Attic before the age of 10. At 11 I discovered fanfiction and dove into the vast Snarry ocean, many of which were darkfics or otherwise containing "problematic" material.

Maybe that's part of what makes it easier for me. I've always known the difference between fiction and reality. I've always been able to set things apart. The actors are not the characters, are not the movies. Authors are not their creations.

V.C. Andrews was not locked in an attic, did not fall in love with her brother, and I doubt she actually promoted such events and behaviors.

....

I still have friends on Facebook who share things like "if you're still a Potterhead, fuck off". I'm surprised they haven't unfriended me yet. Maybe because they know me, and I'm an exception.

I had a fandom friend block me on Discord for not banning people from talking about monetarily supporting Rowling.

There's been years to adjust to how terrible JKR is, and the extreme opinions never died, but it doesn't feel quite as...I don't know. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe I'm numb to it. Maybe we've all settled into our respective stances.

It's still fresh and new for the Gaiman fandom.

I do wonder why these new haters don't leave the Neil Gaiman subreddit. Maybe they feel it's their moral obligation to stamp down on any lingering feelings of affection for anything Gaiman has touched.

As that one Redditor said under another comment:

I don't want to let his fandom wriggle out of their part in this, is why. It's long overdue that 'geeky' communities get some disinfecting sunlight shone on them, and become healthier spaces. This is in part about fandom dynamics, those that fed Gaiman, the very aggressive attempts to silence any criticism, the atmosphere where victims felt unable to speak out. Sandman isn't good and has always been obviously misogynistic: and that's exactly why a lot of Gaiman's male fans liked it, being told what they wanted to hear.

They, at least, are there to squash and stomp across any remaining fans.

It's sad to me that people can't separate it. That people can't be allowed to love what they love, lest they be accused of supporting awful people.

Maybe it will die down with time. Maybe the haters will trickle out of the subreddit and leave it to the fans. Maybe the extremism will never leave, but everyone will settle into their camps.

In the meantime, maybe I should mute that subreddit for a while. And focus instead of much healthier and saner subreddits like AmItheAsshole.

(AITA for enjoying art created by bad people?)

I've thrown myself into reading actual books lately. It's been a while since I've read so much outside of fanfiction.

I'm on a superhero kick right now.

To start:

Super Powereds series by Drew Hayes

In this world, there are regular humans, and also Powereds, which are people who have powers they can't control. The powers sort of burst out of them and they're generally looked down upon.

There are also Supers, who are people who can control their powers. They can fine-tune that control and learn more about their powers, but the difference is their powers aren't happening to them, they have some level of ability to make their powers happen.

Then there are Heroes, which are Supers who are trained and licensed for Hero work (aka superheroes).

At the start of the book, 5 Powereds are given a procedure to make them Supers, and they're enrolled in a Hero Certification Program (HCP) at a college called Lander. Their past as Powereds is kept secret from the other students. The series follows the main 5 characters through their 4 years at Lander while outside forces also come into play. Obviously things can get complicated in a superhero world, especially one like this.

Is the series great literature? No. But it's a really fun read. Lots of action and adventure! I also became obsessed with shipping 2 best friends, Vince and Nick, but AO3 has hardly any SuperPowereds fanfic at all. I think I only found like 3 Vince/Nick fics. -Sigh-

Villains Code series by Drew Hayes

Same author, different series. It's another world with heroes, but in this one the people with powers are called meta humans. The heroes have an organization called the AHC, or Alliance of Heroic Champions. There's also a guild of villains who follow what they call the Villains Code. They work to keep their crimes under wraps and stay off the AHC's radar. They also work to keep rogue criminals in check which is a help to the AHC and also the guild, as the two organizations more or less have peace between them. The AHC doesn't hound the guild, and in return the guild helps keep other criminals from causing too much trouble. Win-win, right?

The main character, Tori Rivas, is a meta human who ends up on the guild's radar and she's sort of recruited and ends up apprenticing between an infamous villain. She goes through training, joins the guild, aaand encounters all sorts of issues one has when they're a villain in a superhero's world. Also her mentor, Ivan is HOT. HOT HOT HOT. At least to a girl who loves morally gray badass characters.

I enjoyed Villains Code waaaay more than Super Powereds. Partly I think because of my love of morally gray characters and so much focus being on the villain characters (though there is plenty of POV of superheroes, too). It's an ongoing series and I just finished the most recent book, so now I'm just sort of...sitting here, processing everything, and being very impatient for the next book.

I'm pretty sure this series has jumped up to being one of my favorite series of all time, right after Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.

Next Up...

After Villains Code, I planned to read the new Rebecca Yarros book, Onyx Storm but I'm still feeling in a superhero/villain mood so instead I might reread the Villains series by V.E. Schwab, which comprises of Vicious and Vengeful.

My best friend also reminded me of the Renegades books by Marissa Meyer, which have been on my TBR for a while, so it might be time I got to those. (Actually, now I'm wondering if I DID read them?? Is it sad that I can't remember?)

ALSO, my partner's favorite author Brandon Sanderson has a series of superhero books called the Reckoners, which might be another good series to reread if I stay on this track.

Oh and also rereading the Villains Code because it really was THAT GOOD.

If I ever find my way back into fandom, I might just have to write a superhero AU.

It's been nice sort of losing myself in books again. I used to blow through books like nobody's business. There's something very comforting about losing a whole day (or more) in another world. And it feels like ages since I've felt so excited about something.

My mental health was on the upswing for a minute there.

I wrote a good bit. I became very inspired by genderswaps out of seemingly nowhere. I had a nice curated rec list from a friend so I came into some very good ones. I even wrote a few myself. I get why it's not everyone's cup of tea, as it wasn't mine for years and years, but I've come to appreciate it as a new lens through which to view beloved characters and also ships--somehow my love of Snarry has multiplied, which I didn't think possible, as they've been my OTP for 20+ years. And yet, exploring them in new ways has opened my eyes to many possibilities, and also to how perfect they are for each other in every iteration.

My first foray into genderswap was years ago, actually, born of old biases about genderswap. How I thought people just did it to turn slash ships het, and how I'd "allow" it if we made it femslash instead. I wrote a fic where I genderswapped the entire cast which was pretty fun, but I hadn't taken it seriously until the past few months.

My first real exploration was a Snarriet fic, where I applied my usual Snarry formula to a Snarriet instead. And boy am I in love with that fic. It began with a prompt I've long had in the back of my mind: Severus publicly bragging about bedding the famous Harry Potter. (I love my man awful, okay?) The next was another prompt I'd been sitting on for a while, which was a teen pregnancy Snarry...apparently these two prompts needed me to be in my Snarriet game.

Funny how that works...Stories you want to write, but you're missing key elements at the time, and so you have to wait until magic strikes.

I wrote a fem!Severus for Kinktober, another point of pride for me. And another femslash Snarry for Snarry AUctober Fest. That story came out of me like a demon and I finished it just in time for the fest!

I've been working on so much lately. I posted a few works for Kinktober. Made progress on a few WIPs.

Then...the U.S. election happened. I'm too horrified and disgusted and terrified to feel very inspired at all. Maybe those feelings will wane as time goes on, but for now...for now I at least have fics to read instead of write.

Actually, in the midst of all this awful news, I got some good news the other day...that a long abandoned fic began updating again after 13 years! Nights of Gethsemane has been one of my favorite Snarries since it first posted, and now the sequel looks like it will finally be finished! It's a good time for me to reread NoG and Invictus and the sequel. And probably every other long beloved Snarry fic out there. I could do with a good escape from the world.

I also, for a time, seemed to be properly healing from all the Pacify drama, and now...I guess all the terrible news of late has opened every old wound I've ever had. I want to scream at the world and beg people to stop, to keep all Pacify talk to their server, and let me just be free of it. I can't do that, of course, but I want to. I want people to know what they're getting into with that one. It's so...everything is so much right now, I guess.

Worst of all is how so many people I know in real life have dropped their masks since the election results came in. So much hatred and ugliness everywhere. It makes me glad for my fandom spaces, where the people are so much kinder; open-minded and empathetic; people just as worried as I am. People who understand and don't make me feel crazy for being so upset.

I feel so lost right now, in a way. And I've never been gladder for fandom, with the escape it provides, and the friendships I've made through it.

Snarry-a-Thon is an annual fest of Snarry goodness that always brings so much creativity and joy in the Snarry community. I am forever blown away by how much talent and passion Snarry-lovers have. With that in mind, I wanted to create some special recs for a fest near and dear to my heart.

With that, here are my Top 5 picks for the 2022 fest! But first...

Disclaimer: my rec lists are created based on my personal experiences and preferences. There are plenty of other stories and authors who are quite good and deserve just as much love. This is not meant to be an objective “best of the best” list, but the subjective opinion of a longtime reader and fangirl.

Foundations (or, Where Do We Go From Here?)

by avioleta ([personal profile] avioleta). Rated: E. Words: 17,788. First time. Hogwarts 8th year. Jealousy. Angst with a happy ending.

After the war, Severus retreats to the solitude of his dungeons. There are potions to brew, repair work to be done, and lessons to plan. But then Harry Potter begins turning up at all hours, wanting little more—it seems—than to irritate Severus. Severus doesn’t know what Potter wants. But he doesn’t know what he wants, either. From the original prompt: Severus knows it’s not love or even affection that brings Harry Potter to his rooms at night.

The Potter Phenomenon

by ines_iz. Rated: E. Words: 31,548. Romance. Internalized homophobia. Angst. Eventual fluff. Idiots in love. Professor Harry Potter. Pining. Jealousy. Coming out.

When Harry Potter, queer star of the Wizarding World, returns to Hogwarts as the new Defence professor, Severus Snape is not happy. In fact, he is positively outraged. Not only does Severus have to endure the man's obnoxious behaviour (not to mention his ridiculous sense of fashion), but he also ends up being dragged into Potter's attention-seeking plans — and, ultimately, is forced to face a few demons of his own.
Or: Harry Potter Goes Gay (and the entirety of Hogwarts Goes Gay with him)

A Trick of the Mind

by PinaNaponi ([profile] vulnerasanenturmyprince). Rated: E. Words: 40,585. UST. Postwar. Scars. Pining. Legilimency. Brief Harry/Ginny.

Ever since the horcrux in his head is gone, Legilimency comes easy to Harry. It’s nearly laughable how easy it is, considering how much he used to struggle with it back in his fifth year. But he reckons half of that had been Snape’s fault anyway. Who on earth would enjoy the nasty git invading their mind?
But as life as Harry has known it changes, Harry’s opinion on the matter changes with it ― rather drastically so if he’s being perfectly honest.

With Aloha

by silvereye5 ([personal profile] silvereye5). Rated: E. Words: 26,793. Fluff. Drinking.

Severus and Harry are booked on the same gay singles cruise.

No Defence Against the Dark

by zalil. Rated: E. Words: 1,732. Established relationship. Demonic possession. Body modification.

After handling his DADA material, Harry might have changed a bit lately. Severus doesn’t approve. Or does he?

Bonus: Shameless Self-Rec

Listen...it's okay to celebrate oneself, too, okay?

Contempt

by danpuff. Rated: E. Words: 20,400. Enemies to Lovers. Virginity loss. Cheating. Love/Hate. Harry/Ginny. POV Harry Potter.

Harry hates Snape, and he always will. (He will, won’t he?)

Snarry-a-Thon 2012 Recs

Snarry-a-Thon is an annual fest of Snarry goodness that always brings so much creativity and joy in the Snarry community. I am forever blown away by how much talent and passion Snarry-lovers have. With that in mind, I wanted to create some special recs for a fest near and dear to my heart.

With that, here are my Top 5 picks for the 2012 fest! But first...

Disclaimer: my rec lists are created based on my personal experiences and preferences. There are plenty of other stories and authors who are quite good and deserve just as much love. This is not meant to be an objective “best of the best” list, but the subjective opinion of a longtime reader and fangirl.

Speaking in Tongues

by abrae. Rated: E. Words: 7,764. Hogwarts 8th Year. Hurt/comfort. Romance. Angst.

Harry lost one language in the war, but he finds he's learning to speak another.

In the Sanctuary of His Eyes

by asecretchord. Rated: E. Words: 22,710. BDSM. Collars. Orgasm delay/denial. Other pairings.

Severus Snape created the perfect submissive: beautiful, responsive, obedient to a fault. Harry Potter was everything Snape never knew he wanted—until the day Lucius Malfoy snatched him up with a snap of his fingers. Now the light was fading from Potter's eyes, but Snape wasn't certain he wanted to rescue Potter again.
Winner: "Best Villain" HP Fan Fiction Poll Awards, Fall 2012.

I'll Take Less (When I Always Give So Much More)

by RoozetteR. Rated: M. Words: 24,294. Illnesses. Established Relationships. Petunia POV.

Just because you know somebody doesn’t mean you know them. Especially when it comes to family.

In Perpetuity

Some stories in life repeat in the same old patterns. Until they change.
